JEE Main Result 2013, Score & Merit List today

Here is the D-Day for over 14 lakh students who had appeared in one of the most prestigious and much sought after entrance exam with the new pattern this year. Central Board of Secondary Education, as scheduled, is all set to end the suspense and publish the JEE Main results 2013 and merit list of top 1,50,000 rank holders who would be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced for which the registration would be done between 8th and 13th May. While the JEE main is conducted by CBSE, the later stage JEE Advanced would be conducted by IITs on June 2nd for admissions into various IITs across the nation for 10,000 seats.

It is to be noted that top 1.50 lakh candidates would be eligible for advanced exam, however it is possible to have more than 1.50 lakh candidates as multiple candidates scoring the same marks and are in the top one a half lakh would be eligible to get registered and appear for the next level exam.

CBSE had uploaded the OMR Answer Sheets (scanned images of the answer sheets) between 30th April & 2nd May, and invited challenges from the students if they felt that the answers marked by them were different from what authorities had recorded for the evaluation. Board had received over 1500 challenges from the students, and all of these have been resolved as informed by the CBSE Chairperson, Vineet Joshi. He also informed that challenges accepted are just related to the OMR sheets and not any of the questions, he also added that Board will not be cancelling any questions or awarding any grace marks for the questions which are challenged by reputed coaching institutes. Though, last year after the paper was confirmed to have 7 marks worth of errors, grace marks were provided to the students by the IITs.

Students today would get their individual score and verdict on whether or not they have qualified for the next round, and there will not be any rankings for the JEE-Main results. Students shall log onto the official website of JEE Main on http://jeemain.nic.in and keep your registration number handy to check the results.

Yes there is one error or ambiguous question in maths in online paper of jee main 2013 conducted on 25/04/2013 according to the expert lecturers of reputed coaching institutes which they are supposed to get add on marks. Many students' expected marks according to the key provided by expert coaching institutes, differ from the marks posted online today on jee main website. This is the future of several students. Why CBSE is not posting the key on its website for the offline and online exams conducted by them if they are right in their evaluation and marks awarded to the students? Why they are not transparent about the key? Everyone has a right to correct information according to the law. If they are not transparent, I think many students and coaching institutes can go to court, especially the students from A.P if this is an injustice towards them.
