Maharashtra 10th Result 2013 out today on

Pune: The saga created by the agitated parents and students over the inconsistencies in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results which could delay the SSC results has been dealt with quite effectively in the end by the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). Over 17 lakh students who appeared in the SSC exams earlier this year would get to check their results today i.e. 7th June, a day before the planned day.

Some inconsistencies were reported in HSC results for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics after which Board wanted to be extra cautious to make sure, no such mistakes appear in the SSC results and gave hints that results could be delayed, however now Board is ready and confident to release these results today itself to bring an end to the long anxious wait for huge number of students.

Results, when declared, around 1:00 pm today would be available on the official website of MSBSHSE on and also on its results portal on and Results would be available on SMS on BSNL mobile, one can type MSSC (space) Seat Number and send it to 57766.

Also, the state government is considering to scrap the rule that requires students to score at least 40% in Science to choose the Science stream in junior colleges. School education minister Rajendra Darda would be soon taking the decision, however as per the sources, the rule is about to get scrapped as the concerned authorities is already aligning with the new thought process. If scrapped, it will enable the students who has passed the SSC exams to choose stream of his own choice in junior colleges.
