New online admission system in Maharashtra from this year

Serpentine queues, loss of documents, website failure, confusion related to form filling centres, mistakes in the form, improper guidance centres were the problems students had to face while filling up their admission forms through the medium of the online web portal. However, this year, the State School Education department in collaboration with the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited is back with an allnew online admission portal with new features to provide in depth information of the online admission procedure.

The education department this year has carefully designed the website keeping in mind the major debacle of last year online admission procedure. Explaining the new features, N. B. Chavan, Assistant Deputy Director, School education said, " Along with this, we have provided a step by step picture presentation, which will help students to understand the procedure more easily thereby avoiding mistakes." Giving information on the new features of the website Avinash Ranadive, Computer Programmer for the website said, " As compared to last year, this year, the introductory page of the website provides a detailed idea of the admission procedure.

In addition to this, crucial pointers have been added for students to read carefully before beginning with the procedure of filling up the admission form. Along with this, latest government resolution (GR), rules and regulations, reservation category for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad respectively are a few other features added to the latest website." The website is bilingual for the convenience of students.

It also has a grievances redressal system for students to put forth their problems. Application form is simplified and personalized and has been displayed in parts to avoid confusion. Applicant shall be recognized on the basis of correct school area, Applicant's status, board and seat number.
