A Delhi University professor was allegedly molested by a group of university students on Thursday. The incident once again shows how unsafe the Capital is for women despite the tall claims by the police and the state government. Around 10 DU students allegedly molested the assistant professor and also attempted to thrash her when she objected to being attacked with water balloons.

  • Make sure youre accompanied by one more responsible person
  • People take advantage on the pretext of colouring women. So, stick to playing Holi only with close friends and family
  • Therell be cops at each intersection, so do not drink and drive. If you are high on alcohol or bhaang, make sure theres a driver with you
  • Avoid having bhaang and other food & drinks if offered by strangers
  • Dress wisely and carry a dupatta or a stole. Leave your expensive jewellery at home

  • Staying wet for hours can lead to a drop in body temperature, that makes kids prone to catching cold, so its best to allow kids out at noon.
  • Discourage your children from playing Holi with eggs or mud.
  • Keep a big bucket of water handy for emergencies. If a child swallows colour, he should be made to vomit immediately. This can be done by making him drink warm water with salt or inducing vomiting.
  • If colour enters the eyes, wash them with clean water immediately. “ Use antibiotic eye drops. Dont use steroid drops without the prescription of a doctor,” Dr Umesh Bareja, a consultant ophthalmologist, said.
